So, here’s the process…
The files are batch processed using Photomatix Pro using the Batch Single File option and exported as JPEGs. Before being exported, they are tone mapped to create the desired effect of HDR. The JPEGs are then imported into Adobe Lightroom and exported at 1920×1080 (2k digital cinema). The images are then opened in Quicktime 7 Pro as an image sequence and saved as a .mov file. Having uploaded the first test to Vimeo.com, it appears that the sequence has distorted and further investigation has revealed that this is because of compression rates. Vimeo advises that the optimum resolution should be 1280×760, so I’ll have to go back and reprocess the HDR images, exporting them from Lightroom at a resolution of 1280×720. When this is done, I’ll upload to Vimeo and to see if the video displays as required.
